At Malak Al-Ilm, we believe privacy is a right, not a privilege. This Cookie Policy explains exactly which cookies our pre-launch website uses, why we use them, and how you can control them.

What we promise
- We use ONLY the minimum cookies necessary for the site to function and stay secure.
- We do NOT use advertising or marketing cookies.
- We do NOT use cross-site tracking cookies.
- Our analytics tool (Plausible) is completely cookieless by design.
- We do NOT sell or share cookie data with third parties for advertising.

1. What is a Cookie?
Cookies are tiny text files placed on your device (computer, phone, tablet) by a website when you visit it.
Cookies serve several purposes, including:

The malakalilm.com pre-launch page uses a very limited number of cookies, all essential for the site's operation and security.

2.1 Essential Cookies (Strictly Necessary)
These cookies are required for the site to function and to keep it secure. They cannot be disabled without breaking the site.

2.2 Functional Cookies
None. The pre-launch page does not use any functional cookies beyond those listed as essential.
2.3 Analytics Cookies
None. We use Plausible Analytics, which is intentionally cookieless. Plausible counts page views anonymously without setting any cookies and without tracking individual users across sessions.
Plausible Analytics is fully compliant with GDPR, CCPA, PECR, and Moroccan Loi 09-08 by design — no cookies, no personal data, no cross-site tracking, no fingerprinting.
2.4 Advertising / Marketing Cookies
None. We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, conversion tracking, Meta Pixel, Google Ads tags, TikTok Pixel, or any similar marketing technologies on this pre-launch page.
3. Third-Party Services
Our site uses a number of third-party services. Some may place cookies from their own domain when you interact directly with them:
• Cloudflare (security and CDN): places essential security cookies. Privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy
• Plausible Analytics (visitor statistics): does not place any cookies. Privacy policy: plausible.io/privacy
• Google Fonts (typography): may collect your IP address when fonts are loaded, but does not place cookies. Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
• WhatsApp Click-to-Chat: when you click the WhatsApp button, you are redirected to the WhatsApp site/app, subject to its own privacy policy: whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy
• Zoho Mail: used only for our back-end email. Does not interact with site visitors.
We are not responsible for third-party cookie policies. We invite you to review them directly.
4. Legal Basis for Using Cookies
Our use of cookies is based on the following legal grounds:
Essential cookies (Cloudflare, language preferences, consent record):
• Legal basis: legitimate interest (Article 6.1.f of GDPR) and contractual necessity (Article 6.1.b of GDPR)
• Moroccan framework: Law 09-08, Article 4 (processing necessary for the performance of a legal obligation or to serve a legitimate interest)
• Does not require user consent because these cookies are essential for the site's operation and security
Non-essential cookies:
• We do not use any non-essential cookies on this page
• If we add any in the future, we will request your explicit consent before placing them
5. How to Manage Cookies
You have full control over cookies through your browser settings. You can:
• Accept or reject all cookies
• Delete existing cookies
• Configure your browser to alert you when a cookie is created
• Block cookies from specific sites
