Badr sleeps in the daytime so he can stay awake with the stars.
Well — not really. But he wishes he could. Every clear night, he climbs to the rooftop with his grandfather's old telescope and looks up. He knows the names of the brightest stars, and he is teaching himself the rest.
"That one is so far away," he whispers, "that its light started travelling before I was born."
Badr thinks the sky is the biggest story ever told, and we are all reading it together.
